David Peacock was originally posted as missing at Mouquet Farm 3 September 1916. His remains were actually found, along with part of his identity disck and a watch inscribed 'D.H.B.' during late 1923. His younger brother 6194 Charles Ernest Peacock of the same 51st Battalion was also killed in action the same day.
