Allan Wadham YOUNGHUSBAND was born in Hawkes Bay, Napier, New Zealand on 21st August, 1891

His parents were John YOUNGHUSBAND & Edith Mildred WOOD

He enlisted in Holsworthy on 27th August, 1915 and embarked from Sydney on the HMAT Persic with the 5th Field Artillery, Battery 14 on the 18th November, 1915

Allan was Killed in Action in France on 3rd May, 1917 and is buried in the Queant Road Cemetery - his name is memorialised on the Australian War Memorial

His brother Leigh Norman YOUNGHUSBAND served as a Major during WW1 with the Royal Artillery - he was awarded the Military Cross

He was with the King Edwards Horse (Kings Overseas Dominions Regiment)  British Army
