Summary from AWM
3812 Acting Corporal (A/Cpl) Phillip Taylor. A driver from Windsor, Victoria prior to enlistment, A/Cpl Taylor embarked with the rank of Private as part of the Sportsmen’s 1000 with the 10th Reinforcements, 46th Battalion from Melbourne on HMAT Nestor on 28 February 1918. Later gassed he was evacuated to England. Due to the severity of the gas poisoning he returned to Australia on 8 January 1919 and was medically discharged.
