"LIEUT. H. BARTER.
Lieut. H. Barter, who left Sydney in April last, was killed in action in France on November 23. He was the only son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Barter, of 28 Union-street, Balmain East. Lieut. Barter was 22 years of age, and was educated at Fort-street School. Prior to emlisting he was employed by Messrs.
