Another of our returned soldiers passed away at the district hospital on Thursday last in the person of Mr John Harrington.
He having served in both the Boer War & the late war, where he put in 4 years’ service. Since his arrival in Proserpine he has been in the employ of Rogan Bros. At the time of death he was 54 years of age. The funeral moved from the hospital at 4.30 on Friday & was very well attended by returned soldiers & many others. The Rev. Father Kelly officiated at the graveside
