Son of Robert Thomas Veivers and Florence Elizabeth Veivers nee Spencer of Nerang, QLD. Brother of Robert Ekins Veivers who returned to Australia on 4 July 1919 having served with the 31st  and 9th Battalions

Commenced return to Australia on 12 April 1919 aboard HT Suffolk disembarking on 5 June 1919 at Melbourne for onward travel to Brisbane
