Son of John Voss and Elizabeth Voss nee Rout of Glen Huon, Tasmania
Brother of Herbert Murray Voss who returned to Australia on 16 February 1919 having served with the 26th Battalion and Lewis Voss.
Commenced return to Australia on 27 September 1917 aboard HT Suevic disembarking on 21 November 1917 at Melbourne for onward travel to Hobart
