Address at the time of enlistment was Woolgar, WA. In 1904 it was decide to declare it a town however there was already a town named Woolgar in QLD so the name Yunndaga was chosen, The town is now abandoned.
Neil was born Neil O'Brien however following his mother's remarriage is was decide he would serve as Neil O'Brien-Uren.
Son of James Frederick O'Brien and Mary Uren formerly O'Brien nee Weir of Woolgar, WA.
Commenced return to Australia on 4 May 1917 abaord HT Runic disembarking on 26 June 1917
