His only son James Lloyd Kitchener McLARNEN (SN QX9946) was born in Casino in New South Wales on 20th October, 1916 which is the day before his father was Killed in Action & served during WW2 & was also Killed in Action on 2nd January, 1943 in Papua New Guinea
