On 3 August 1910 Thomas married Florence Louise Bellette in Princes Street, Queenborough, Hobart, Tasmania with Florence dying the next month.

Son of Richard John O'Keeffe and Margaret Teresa O'Keeffe nee McGowan of 'Chandos', Hotham Street,  Melbourne, Victoria.

Chemist pprenticeship was with D.T. Solomn of St. John Street, Launceston, Tasmania

Next of kin given as his sister Stella Mary O'Keeffe of Albert Street, East Melbourne, Victoria.
