Next of kin given as his brother W.E. Ogilvie of 'Woodhouse', Leigh, Goulburn, NSW.
Previously served in South Africa for seventeen months with the 3rd NSW Mounted Rifles. Service number 2120 and rank of Trooper.
On 6 December 1915 he return to Australia on furlough aboard SS Te Anau and later returned to Rabaul on SS Merinda
