Biography contributed by Faithe Jones

Son of William and Margaret LOVELL, Penders Road, Hamilton, Vic.

LOVELL. - In loving memory of our dear son and brother, Private W. L. Lovell (Guss), 14th Battalion, A.I.F., killed in action on the 11th April, 1917, after two years' service.
To-day as we look on your photo,
Its likeness so fond and true
Oh how are hearts are aching.
And longing, dear Willie, for you.
- Inserted by his father, mother, brothers and sisters, Penshurst Road, Hamilton.

LOVELL. - In loving memory of my dear friend, Private William Leslie Lovell (Guss), 14th Battalion, who was killed in action at Bullecourt, France, 11th April, 1917.
An Anzac Hero.
I pictured his safe returning,
And longed to clasp his hand.
But God has postponed our meeting,
'Twill be in a better land.
In the bloom of his life God claimed him,
In the pride of his manhood days,
None knew him but to love him,
None spoke of his name but in
praise.
- Inserted by a loving friend, Ida Hipworth.
