Arrived in Australia aged 30 years. He had arrived in Canada during 1906 and had worked on farms prior to coming to Australia from he served in the Canadian Cavalry during 1913,

Son of George Frederick and Mary Eeles of Suffield, Alberta, Canada. Brother of Matthew Henry Eeles of Transval, South Africa. Also brother of Mrs. Parkinson of Catford, London, England and G.F. Eeles of Red Cliffe, Alberta, Canada

Husband of Elsie E. Eeles of 56 The Vineyard, Richmond, Surrey, England. In August 1919 Elsie wrote that she had no communication with William since 1910

Medals: 1914-15 Star, British War Medal, Victory Medal to his widow

Also served in the London Volunteer Rifles for about 4 years
