Son of John Henry and Mary Annie Walther of 15 Philpott Street, Marrickville, New South Wales
Elmo served in France at Pozieres, Mouquet Farm, Bapaume and Passchendaele and was woundd on three occasions. Each time he recovered and returned to duty.
