Son of Arthur Ollason and Elizabeth C. Ollason of Lerwick, Scotland. 

Husband of Annie Ollason nee Cowen of Water Street, Lidcombe, NSW. Arthur and Annie married during 1914c in NSW.

Commenced return to Australia on 23 March 1919 aboard HS Czar then transhipped at Aleandria to HS Dongala on 10 April 1919 disembarking at Melbourne on 16 May 119 for onward travel to Sydney
