Biography

"...2343 Private Robert Cornelius Kelly, 33rd Battalion. Pte Kelly farmed near Guyra, NSW, before he enlisted on 4 April 1916. He embarked from Sydney on 17 October 1916 with the 4th Reinforcements aboard HMAT Borda (A30). Following training in England, he joined his unit in Belgium. Pte Kelly was killed in action on 5 June 1917, aged 26. He has no known grave. His name is commemorated at the Australian National Memorial, Villers-Bretonneux, France." - SOURCE (www.awm.gov.au)
