Archibald was the son of Archibald Fullarton and Nellie Fullarton nee Cole.
Archibald enlisted on 18.9.1914 and on 14.3.1916 was appointed a Private with the 2nd Field Ambulance, Service No: 9786. Served in England and France where he was wounded. On 22.12.1917 Archibald received a medical discharge. Medals: British War Medal and Victory Medal.
In 1918 married Caroline May “Carrie” Muir.
