Son of Charles and Marion JACKSON of 61 May Street, Coburg, Vic.
Was in the 3rd Battalion Australian Naval & Military Expeditionary Forces. The 'Matunga' on the way to Rabul with troops was captured by the German raider 'Wolf' and he was prisoner on the raider for 7 months. Then landed in Kiel. In Gustrow prison camp until 26 December 1918 and returned to Australia 19 May 1919
