Lieutenant Keshan Platoon hit by shell fire
On 23 August 1918 Pte, Tanswell, Doyle, Mackie, Carrington lead by Lieutenant Keshan of B Company 3rd Battalion AIF were killed by Artillery Fire on the outskirts of Poygart.
The 3rd Battalion War diary noted the Lieutenant Keshan Platoon was hit by shell fire as they stepped off from their assault line, that morning.
CWGC rebuired the members together, line a breast, at Heath Cemetery after the War.

Son of Thomas and Minnie Tanswell of "Fernleigh" Parkes NSW
