Born at Gosford, New South Wales on the 28th April 1897 to Albert Edward (or Ernest) and Hannah Harris nee Ralph; husband of Molly (Mollie or Mary) Harris nee Wilson (married 1921, Merewether, N.S.W., died?), Nobby enlisted April 1918 with the 3rd N.S.W. Reinforcements at Newcastle, N.S.W., returning home September 1919.

Cecil’s name has been inscribed on the A. Goninan and Company Roll of Honour, Merewether St. Augustine's Church Roll of Honour and the Junction Soldiers' Memorial (photos, unveiled on the 9th August 1919).

Nobby’s headstone gives us no indication of his service with the 1st A.I.F., so I have placed poppies and a 1914-1918 WAR label in remembrance, supplied by Andrea Gerrard and John Thomas.
