CORPORAL JOHN COLIN GOODALL: GRAND UNCLE of mine (Bev) from WW1... he was only 17 when enlisted and on the 24th May 1915 embarked on HMAT ASCANIUS A11 from Brisbane, he died in the battle of Menin Road on 20 September 1917 age 20yrs old..
JOHN COLIN GOODALL came safely through the Gallipoli campaign, and was one of the first to go to France. He was wounded three times, on one occasion very severely. JOHN COLIN GOODALL was killed in action in France on September 20.
