Biography contributed by Faithe Jones

Advice was received on Thursday that Private Charles Frederick Brentnall had died of wounds in France on October 5. The deceased soldier was in the employ of Messrs Samuel  Allen and Sons, Ltd., for some years, and was very well known in Townsville, especially in shipping circles, where he was principally engaged.
