Thomas McCULLOCH was born in Carlton, Victoria in 1880 and went to school at the Sunbury State School.

In 1915 he and his wife Clementine were living at 159 Bridge Road Glebe when he enlisted on 25/9/1915 at Holdsworthy.

His mother, Mrs E McCulloch lived at Mt Macedon, Victoria.

Thomas left Australia on 8/3/1916 aboard the HMAT Star of England as part of the 55th Battalion.

He was killed in action at Doignies, east of Bapaume, France on 2/4/1917.

He is buried at the Hermies Hill British Cemetery, Picardie, France.
