30 Apr 1917: Wounded AIF WW1, Private, 182, 39th Infantry Battalion, German Withdrawal to Hindenburg Line and Outpost Villages, Multiple SW to head, shoulder and neck sustained at Ploegsteert. Evacuated to 2nd Aust CCS at Trois Arbres, where he died of his wounds several days later on 3 May 1917.
