Son of Charles Edward Capper and Mary Jane Capper nee Treloar of Gladstone Street, Bendiog, Victoria formerly of Melbourne.
Brother of James Herbert Vernon Capper who died of wounds on 26 September 1917 while serving with the 23 Howitzer Brigade and was buried in the Lissjenthoek Military Cemetery, Plot XX111, Row C, Grave 14A
