Son of Donald and Mary (adopted name Agnes) Reid of 205 Egan Street, Kalgoolie, WA formerly of Elsternwick, Victoria and Deniliquin, NSW. Brother of Mordaunt Leslie Reid who was killed in action on 25 April 1915 while serving with the 11th Battalion

Medals: 1914-15 Star, British War Medal, Victory Medal

Served a 3 year apprenticeship with the Electric Supply Co. of Victoria

Also served with the Scotch College Cadets for 12 months
