Roland Robert QUICK was born at Sunny Corner, New South Wales in 1890
His parents were Robert Henry QUICK and Mary Ann JONES who married in Sydney in 1889
He enlisted at Enoggera in Queensland on 5th January, 1916 and embarked with the 26th Infantry Battalion, 11th Reinforcements on the HMAT Star of Victoria from Brisbane on 30th March, 1916 - promoted to Corporal from 16th January, 1916 to 1st February, 1916
Roland was listed as Missing & then found to have been Killed in Action at Flers, France on 14th November, 1916 - no known grave
His name is memorialised on the Australian War Memorial & the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial
