Son of Edward and Margaret KESBY, Temagog Post Office, New South Wales
Word has been received of the death of Private Lewis Stanley Kesby, in France, formerly well-known in Macksville. His father Mr. Kesby — carried on business here for- a time but subsequently removed to the Macleay.
On June 30th a cable was received that Pvt. Arthur John Kesby was wounded and another on July 4th that he was admitted to St. Alban's War Hospital, County Middlesex, England, suffering from severe gunshot wounds to face and head. Pvt. Kesby enlisted with the North Coast route march and his father (Mr. William Kesby) was recently in business in Macksville. Pvt. Arthur Kesby formerly worked with Mr. Ainsworth, of Macksville. The late Lewis Stanley Kesby was a nephew of Mr. W. Kesby and not a son as reported.
