Son of Henry Alfred and Priscilla Mary Fitzhugh of 30 Bruce Street, Stanmore, NSW formerly of 'Kent', Clarendon Road, Stanmore, NSW. Brother of David Fitzhugh who was killed in action on 10 October 1917 while serving with the 19th Battalion and is buried in the Menin Road South Military Cemetery. Plot 1 Row L, Grave 37

Private Harold Fitzhugh was the son of Mr. H.A. Fitzhugh and Mrs. Fitzhughe, who reside at 61 Clarendon Road, Stanmore. Deceased was a wellknown road rider, and was a member of the Marrickville Bicycle Club. He had won many trophies as a cyclist. The father carries on a butcher's business in Percival Road, Stanmore. Deceased who was 21 years of age, was very popular, and when a number of his acquaintances heard of his death they immedicately went to Victoria Barracks to enlist.
