21 Oct 1918: | Honoured Military Medal, At 20 June 1918, near Strazeelle, the enemy was seen carrying a machine gun into a shelter 25 yards from our Post. Pte. Vance with L/Corporal Miller crawled out and succeeded in reaching the shelter and throwing a bomb in, though under persistent fire from snipers, they succeeded in capturing a machine gun and two prisoners.
