Son of Alfred Quartermaine and Mary Anne Quartermaine nee Knot of Katanning, WA.
Served his four year apprenticeship with J. Squaires of Katanning, WA.
Husband of Kate Ellen Quatermaine of Woodanilling, WA. Beven and Kate were married during 1910 in Katanning, WA.
Commenced return to Australia on 10 July 1919 aboard HT Oxfordshire disembarking on 4 August 1919
