Murray Baylis Garland

Murray was born in Wagga Wagga, N.S.W. in 1890 and lived in Wentworthville.

Murray's father's name was Broughton Clayton Garland.

Murray embarked from Melbourne and enlisted at the age of 25 on April 15 1915.

Murray worked as a bank clerk in the Commercial Bank of Sydney before enlisting.

Murray served in Australian Army in the 1st Australian Field Artillery Brigade.

Murray was badly wounded, as he took a shrapnel to his skull.

Murray died of wounds on April 26 1917 and is buried in France at the Grevillers British Cemetery.
