"2376 Private Edward Egan, 14th Battalion. A tobacco worker from Northcote, Victoria prior to enlistment, Pte Egan embarked with the 7th Reinforcements from Melbourne on RMS Persia on 10 August 1915. Following his arrival in Egypt he was declared to have disciplinary problems.
