Garrett IRWIN was born on 15th September, 1884 at Warialda, New South Wales

His parents were John IRWIN & Mary Jane (Polly) STEVENS

He enlisted in Liverpool, NSW on 14th March, 1915 and embarked on 25th June 1915 on the HMAT Berrima from Sydney with the 20th Infantry Battalion, B Company

Garrett was Killed in Action in France on 31st December, 1916 and is buried in the Guards Cemetery, Lesbeoufs (Plot IX, Row J, Grave 3)

His name is memorialised on the Australian War Memorial
