Biography contributed by Robert Wight

"He went with Capt. S R Clement's party up the gullies to the second ridge near Johnston's Jolly. It is believed that he was badly wounded when he left cover to get a shot at a Turk sniper.

The sniper had just killed his mate who had been bandaging a wounded comrade. When the order came to retire, many of the wounded and dead were left behind as the Anzacs were under heavy fire. He was not seen again.

Prior to enlistment, Pte Fulton worked as an architectural draughtsman with the Victorian Govt. Public Works Dept."
