17 Jun 1919: Honoured Military Cross, Egypt and Palestine - Light Horse and AFC Operations, For exceptional gallantry and devotion to duty on 28 September 1918 when crossing the Jordan near El Min reconniotred the area under heavy machine gun fire and led the regiment to the only available crossing. On 30 September he provided invaluable reconnaissance that culminated in the capture of Kaukab. On 1 October he was prominent after the capture of Damascus in the handling of prisoners and the securing of five hospitals and two stations.
