Harvey Thomas WAKE was born in Charleville, Queensland on 12th February, 1890

His parents were Charles Vernon Drury WAKE & Ellen Mann ALBION who married in Queensland on 30th August, 1887

He enlisted on 19th March, 1915 and embarked with the 11th Light Horse Regiment, 6th Reinforcements on 27th October, 1915 on the HMAT Benalla from Adelaide, South Australia

Harvey died at the English Hospital in Damascus of Malaria & Pneumonia on 2nd November, 1918 - he is buried in Damascus Commonwealth War Cemetery and his name is memorialised on the Australian War Memorial
