Adrian was born as Adrian Daniel BRUMBY on 6th December, 1893 in Zeehan, Tasmania

His parents were Charles William BRUMBY and Jane Louisa DEAN

He had previously served in the Senior Cadets for 18 months before he enlisted in Claremont, Tasmania on the 24th June, 1915 & embarked with thae 26th Battalion, 3rd Reinforcements on the ship Makarini on 10th September, 1915

Adrian was Killed in Action on 29th July, 1916 in Pozieres, France - he has no known grave & his name is Memorialised on the Australian War Memorial & the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial
