Charles enlisted in 1915. His parents were Richard Devers and Mary Ann Dimelow / Davis. Charles survived the war and returned to marry Annie Christina Easton. They settled in Brisbane before relocating to Cooroy where they farmed for many years before eventually returning to Brisbane. Charles also enlisted in WWII and afterwards lived for some years at Samford. His older brother, Richard [2186] also enlisted. Their sister, Mary Catherine Devers, married George Corscadden and lived at Redcliffe.
