Alexander Henry Radford
Born Henry Alexander Fat Hock. Father from Canton, China and mother, Elizabeth Radford, born in Australia of English parents. After his father's death preferred to use his mother's maiden name of Radford.
On 17 August 1914 enlisted in the Australian Imperial Forces (AIF). Service number 424. Served in the 1st Battalion, Company C at Gallipoli. Wounded in action (shot in chest) and returned to Australia. Discharged from the AIF on 5 November 1916.
Re-enlisted on 21 May 1917 in the Australian Imperial Forces. Service number 2574. Served in Egypt in the Light Horse Regiment. Wounded inaction. Discharged 1 September 1919.
In 1934 married Catherine Frances Ryan in Victoria, Australia
