"Mr. George Watson, of Wooloowin, and of Messrs, Watson Bros., plumbers, received the sad news yesterday that his son, Corporal Norman Watson, had been killed in action in France on 5th April. The deceased soldier left Brisbane in October, 1915, and had been through a number of engagements previous to making the supreme sacrifice." - from the Brisbane Telegraph 29 Apr 1918 (nla.gov.au)
