Son of Mrs E Frew, Gordon Street, Woonona, New South Wales

Private Russell Frew, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Frew, of Woonona, has met with a sad ending after doing his duty at the front. While on his way home to
Australia he died on the 6th July last from wounds received at Pozieres on July 23rd, 1916.

Mrs. W. Frew, of Gordon-street, Woonona, has received news that her son, Private Russell Frew, who was being invalided home from the front, died when  the vessel was in Australian waters. He was about 23 years of age, and was employed at the Bulli colliery.
