Service in WW! and WW2

The details provided are taken from the book "Just Soldiers" written by WO1 Darryl Kelly, published in 2004. Refer Chapter 5 pages 27-34.
Noel heard the declaration of war with his 2 elder brothers Albert and Robert, and took himself to the recruiting office. A young lad born 26Nov1900 and convinced the staff that he was 19 years old. He was accepted into the service and attached to the 13th Bn. By April15 he was in Egypt but the 13th was not sent forward immediately. He did not arrive at Gallipoli until August. He was promoted to Cpl soon after he arrived. He only spent a month at Gallipoli, and was transferred to Malta hospital with an illness. He resumed duties with the 13th early in 1916 and was informed that his brother Robert was also in the 13th, and his brother Albert was an officer in the 20th Bn. The 13th Bn was sent to France soon after, but Noel was left in Egypt. Soon after, he was informed that Robert had died of wounds at Pozieres, and Capt Albert had also been wounded and awarded the Military Cross for his service at Pozieres. He transferred to the Camel Corps and stayed in the Middle East. Soon promoted to Sgt and saw activity in that area of ops, but succumbed to another illness and hospitalised for a while. He arrived back in the war zone to take part in the Camel Corps duties at the Battle of Beersheba. Later, he was advised that Albert had died of wounds at a later battle. He was promoted to Staff Sgt about the date of his 18th birthday. Australian Govt policy early in 1918 decreed that all surviving members who enlisted in 1914 should be evacuated from the war zone and returned home. While waiting for the transport to happen he was promoted to WO2. He arrived home in Sydney to be greeted by his mother. He was medically discharged 16Dec1918. He settled into life after the war, married his sweetheart and fathered 5 children. He served in WW2, story in his entry as NX31822 Cpl N E Bolton-Wood
