10 Oct 1919: | Honoured Military Medal and bar, Bar to Military Medal 'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty during the operations West of BELLENGLISE on afternoon of 18th September, 1918. When his Company was held up he dashed forward and located the enemy position, and by the information gained, allowed them to be engaged and the advance to continue. He went out into "No Man's Land" on reconnaissance and located several enemy posts. His work throughout was of the highest order, and is deserving to all praise.'
