Henry Walter GODRICH was born in Adellaide, SA in 1884 and was working in Western Australia as a drover when he joined the AIF in Perth on 16/11/1916.

He left Australia on 19/5/1917 as part of the 10th Light Horse.

His next of kin was his brother, Edward Godrich of Gisborne Park, Gisborne, Victoria.

In Egypt he was admitted to the 14th Australian General Hospital in Port Said where he died of Carcinoma of the stomach on 11/4/1918.

He is buried at the Port Said Military Cemetery, Egypt.
