Add my storyBiography contributed by Carol Foster
In June 1917 Sarah Taylor/Hill of 153 Clarendon Street, South Melbourne wrote that she was Leslie's mother and that his real name was Leslie George Hill. I appears that Leslie was an ex-nuptial of Sarah Hill and that he was raised by his adopted parents Lon and Catherine Foster of Devonport, Tasmania. Leslie did not know his biological mother at the time of enlistment
Next of kin given as his sister Eveline Mabel Foster of Best Street, Devonport, Tasmania
Commenced return to Australia on 22 November 1919 aboard HT Aeneas disembarking on the 9 January 1920 at Melbourne for onward travel to Hobart, Tasmania
