Add my storyBiography contributed by Stephen Brooks
Percy Herbert Douglas only served for a few days with the 10th Light Horse Regiment at Gallipoli, before he had his left thigh bone shattered on 30 May 1915. He was evacuated to Egypt immediately and transferred to England during July 1915. He was sent home to Australia later in 1915 and discharged medically unfit in 1916.
His younger brother, 1747 Pte. Albert Henry Douglas 11th Battalion AIF, was killed in action near Armentieres, 30 May 1916, aged 20. Another half-brother, (same father) 2591A Pte. Wilfred Ernest Douglas 51st Battalion AIF, was soon after killed in action at Pozieres, 14 August 1916, aged 32.
They were all the sons of William Douglas of Perth, Western Australia.
