Pembroke Potts (incorrectly spelt Penbroke in NAA) was born in Orange NSW, the son of William Speakman POTTS and Matilda Elizabeth PEMBROKE
He served as a Private in the Bore War with 'A' Squadron NSW Mounted Rifles & Bush Veldt Carabineers
He served as Lieutenant in WW1 with the 2nd Light Horse Regiment, C Squadron in Egypt & Gallipoli
In 1916 he was dismissed from His Majestys Service by District Court Martial for "fraudentually missaplying Regimental funds for personal gain"
