"...3863 Private Ernest Cecil Hojel, 9th Reinforcements, 18th Battalion, of Tamworth, NSW. Prior to enlisting in the AIF on 7 October 1915, he served with the 13th Battalion, Citizens Military Forces. Pte Hojel embarked from Sydney aboard HMAT Runic on 20 January 1916. He was killed in action on 2 August 1916 at Voisjiers, aged 22 years. He is buried at 26 Villers-Bretonneux, France..." - SOURCE (www.awm.gov.au)
