24 Aug 1914: Enlisted AIF WW1, Private, 474, 2nd Light Horse Brigade HQ, 474 PTE Henry Richard Biggs enlisted in the 2nd Australian Light Horse and was medically discharged on 14 Mar 1916 after being wounded at Gallipoli.
24 Aug 1914: Involvement He was left for dead on one of the hospital barges but his brother wanter to confirm that Henry actually was dead. He found him to be barely alive and directed an orderly to look after him.

22 Aug 1917: Enlisted AIF WW1, Private, 3498, 30th Infantry Battalion, PTE Biggs re-enlisted again after recovering from injuries under his mother's maiden name - GABY. He was initially sent to 30/5 Australian Light Horse and then was transferred back to his original unit that he served with at Gallipoli - 2nd Australian Light Horse Regiment.
